I had to send you a picture of the wallhanging that was finished last evening. When I first saw your Path Home, it really struck a chord in my soul. Lovely.

This is my first attempt at a landscape project, and I'm planning on more projects. The apron is from material that I purchased over 30+ years ago and never found anything 'special' to make from it. I think it really makes this project an outstanding one for me.

My daughter purchased your Great White Egret pattern for me while we
were at N. Redington Beach, FL in May as I had wanted some Sea Gulls for
my bedroom wall.

I used fabric from my bedspread drapes for the background. A silver
grey alligator print tone on tone for the "by the light of the silvery
moon."  White moiré taffeta for the Egret with the lines following the
shape of feathers. I used scraps of faux suede for all the rest- legs,
beak, grass, & flower heads. I hand quilted only where the fabric design
dictated after I had hand appliquéd the design pieces. When it was
completed this week & hung on my bedroom wall - I noticed that the egret's
feet appeared to be in a pool of water. I hadn't consciously planned
that. I am so pleased with this wall hanging that I have decided to make a
companion Great Blue Heron with a starfish & shells in the foreground &
maybe sea oats behind - if I can find fabric to cut from.

As a fellow designer I know how fun it is to see how people

use my patterns.  A client hired me to make this, and it

surprised me to see the pattern she brought to use for the

center. I had seen, and enjoyed it, when it was published in

Miniature Quilt Magazine in 1999.  So here is a queen sized

quilt I made with matching shams from your pattern,

"Log Cabin". I enlarged the design to fit a 40" block for the
center panel. I am very happy with the results, your pattern

was a perfect fit for this project. Thank you.

"You helped me again!  Thanks to your lovely design I won a 2nd

place for my quilt in our spring quilt show in Hilton Head, S.C.
This is the 3rd ribbon I've won with the help of your wonderful
designs.  The others included the Great Blue Heron and Pines

and Florals.  I really enjoy working with your patterns.  The

directions are clear and the results are stunning.  I'll be looking

forward to more of your ingenious ideas."  Lea

"Petunia"

by Heather of Medina, Ohio

This is my first wall hanging.  I designed it myself and made it for a friend of mine that plays the flute.  Her nickname is "Petunia"  I chose brightly colored fabric to make it look HAPPY.  My Mom helped me with all the hard parts.

The Pine Meadows Designs Pattern used for this wall hanging was Pattern # 20021: "Kokopelli"
